In the range of LED applications, new concepts in lighting technology pose new requirements on modern power supplies

The increasing diversity of types requires power supplies which can be integrated in complete solutions easily and with minimal effort. The demand for devices which make available more connectable LEDs, that is which provide more power, increases permanently.

4-channel devices with 4 x 350 mA or 4 x 700 mA output current and dimming function are available for colour mixtures (RGB applications). The brightness control of the channels is made via integrated conventional potentiometers. The power supply allows for continuous and individual adjustment of your colour mixture. In addition, the device is equipped with an internal thermal protection which cuts off the current automatically when temperatures rise too much.

The LED-drive is being connected directly to mains power supply 100 – 230 V by feeder clamps. Independent from the number of power LEDs, the output current is being re-adjusted on a fixed value. However, the specified maximal output power must not be exceeded. The devices provide the necessary constant current at the output, the power value depends on the type. Compliance with the guidelines for SELV circuits is ensured. The device is short-circuitand no-load-proof, overtemperature- and overload protected.

The electronics is mounted in a housing, the connection is made via terminal strips.

This type of 4-channel device is an perfect solution for many Power LED applications in lighting technology where LEDs shall be controlled from 0 to 100 %.
